Training on theory and criticism of literature and art in the Southern region

On August 8th, in Buon Ma Thuot City, the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism, in coordination with the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, organized the 2023 training conference on literary and artistic theory and criticism with the theme "Enhancing awareness, level, capacity, and innovating the content and methods of leadership and management of literature and art in the new situation".

Attending the conference were Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism; leaders of the Propaganda Departments of provincial and city Party Committees; and more than 300 trainees who are officials managing propaganda, press, literature, and art work in the southern provinces and cities.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Council for Literary and Artistic Theory and Criticism, delivered a speech at the conference.

At the conference, participants were equipped with knowledge on six topics: Looking back at 15 years of implementing Resolution 23-NQ/TW on continuing to build and develop literature and art in the new era; An overview of the current literary situation; Innovating the activities of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations and central specialized literature and arts associations in the face of new requirements; Discussing the central character of contemporary literature; Current literary and artistic theory and criticism - current situation and development requirements; Cultural industry and the position and role of literature and art in the development of the cultural industry.

Comrade Nguyen Van Muoi, Permanent Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and delegates from our province attended the training course.

The training aims to share and exchange experiences, helping trainees consolidate and firmly grasp the Party and State's viewpoints and guidelines on the development of culture, literature, and art; enhance the value of artistic thought, ensure freedom in literary and artistic creation; and approach issues of innovation, improve capacity, and enhance leadership and management methods in literature and art in the current period. From there, they can apply this knowledge to their practical work, better fulfill their assigned tasks, and actively contribute to combating erroneous viewpoints in the field of literature and art, creating a healthy cultural and artistic life for the country, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation.
