Training on improving capacity in elderly health care management

On October 20, implementing the elderly health care program for the period 2022-2025, the Provincial Elderly Association Representative Board coordinated with the Community Health Investment Joint Stock Company to organize communication on knowledge about elderly health care and maintain and improve management capacity and operational skills of the Intergenerational Self-Help Club.

Participating in the training course were representatives of the Provincial Association of the Elderly, districts, cities and the Board of Directors of 10 Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs established in 2023.

At the training conference, the reporters from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly and the Community Health Investment Joint Stock Company discussed the following contents: Experience in managing and operating the Intergenerational Self-Help Club; knowledge and information on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on elderly health care; Current status of population aging trends; General information on the elderly and elderly health care; some common diseases in the elderly; some points to note when organizing periodic health check-ups for the elderly...

Through the training course, trainees can apply knowledge and skills in managing and operating the activities of the Intergenerational Self-Help Club; improving the effectiveness of the elderly health care program in the community.

Thereby helping to enhance the role and contribution of the elderly in all aspects of life; the responsibility of individuals, families and society in improving physical and mental health to enhance the quality of life of the elderly.
