Focus on promoting especially important political and historical events

BTO - This morning, January 16th, in Hanoi , the Central Propaganda Department organized the January 2025 Conference for Speakers to provide current affairs information to grassroots speakers and propagandists and to guide propaganda efforts in the coming period. Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department - chaired the conference.

Attending the meeting at the Binh Thuan branch were Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, along with central-level speakers working in the province; provincial-level speakers working in Phan Thiet City; representatives from the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, leaders of the propaganda (political education) departments, and political departments of the Party Committees of: the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military, and the Provincial Border Guard...

At the conference, leaders from the Ministry of Planning and Investment presented a thematic report: “Overview of the socio-economic situation in 2024; forecast of the situation and socio-economic development plan for 2025”; leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented a thematic report: “Overview of the world situation, foreign affairs and diplomacy activities of the Party and State in 2024, forecast of the world situation and tasks of foreign affairs and diplomacy in 2025”; leaders from the Information Center for Propaganda Work presented a brief overview of some outstanding results of oral propaganda work in 2024; and leaders from the Central Propaganda Department awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Propaganda Department to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in oral propaganda work and speaker activities in 2024.

Regarding future propaganda orientation, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Phan Xuan Thuy emphasized: In 2025, our country will enter a new era, an era of national progress with many particularly important political and historical events such as: the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)... Therefore, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested that the entire propaganda sector, the team of speakers and propagandists, should promote their proactive and creative roles, and strengthen oral propaganda and speaker work on the above contents. At the same time, strengthen propaganda about the spirit of urgency and determination in direction and management from the central to local levels regarding the activities of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus.

Furthermore, continue to seriously implement Directive No. 30 dated February 5, 2024, of the 13th Party Central Committee on oral propaganda work in the new situation. Effectively implement the principle of focusing strongly on the grassroots; combine direct and online propaganda; and strengthen direct forms for complex and sensitive areas, localities, and issues. The team of speakers at all levels should proactively and regularly monitor and grasp the situation, and guide public opinion. Improve the effectiveness of coordination between oral propaganda and propaganda through mass media. Propaganda for Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress should be carried out in appropriate and practical forms, linked to the propaganda for the implementation of political tasks in 2025.

Specifically in January, Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, requested that the team of speakers from the central to the grassroots level disseminate information about the efforts of the entire political system to complete and exceed the 15 socio-economic development targets for 2024; the organization of a joyful, safe, and economical Lunar New Year celebration in 2025 as directed by the Party Central Committee; activities to care for the poor and vulnerable households during Tet and support the elimination of dilapidated houses; and the implementation of Government Decree 168 on regulations for administrative penalties in the field of road traffic…
