On the afternoon of November 13th, the railway sector, in coordination with various other units, was carrying out rescue operations for train SE7 after it derailed. Passengers on train SE7 were transported by car to Chu Le station (Huong Khe district).

At the scene, two axles of carriage number 8 of train SE7 derailed. The train incident caused a blockage on the North-South railway line through Ha Tinh.
The North-South railway line is expected to reopen this evening.
In early November 2024, a similar train accident occurred in Da Nang City, resulting in three carriages derailing.
Accordingly, at 9:10 PM on November 1st, train ASY2, pulling 20 wagons with a total weight of 840.7 tons, entered track number 1 at Hai Van Nam station (Da Nang City). At kilometer 771+800, the axles of several wagons detached from the railway tracks, causing containers on two wagons to overturn onto track number 2, while a container on another wagon tilted 45 degrees to the left in the direction of the train's movement.
By the afternoon of November 2nd, authorities had resolved the issue, and the North-South railway line was reopened to traffic.
