Tetra Park goes further in its journey of sustainable transformation | Women

Tetra Pak recently released its Sustainability Report for FY2022, highlighting progress across various aspects of the company’s sustainability agenda. The 24th edition of the report shows that sustainability remains at the core of Tetra Pak’s strategy and continues to be a priority in the company’s business decision-making.

Tetra Pak publishes Sustainability Report for the financial year 2022

In 2022, Tetra Pak achieved important milestones, reducing its operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 39%, with 84% of its energy use coming from renewable sources. This will help the company achieve net zero emissions across its operations by 2030.

Tetra Pak is also investing nearly €30 million to boost the collection and recycling of used beverage cartons, and is partnering with food technology incubators and start-ups to explore the future of sustainable food.

“The current operating environment requires integrated, systemic solutions,” said Adolfo Orive, President and CEO of Tetra Pak. “We have taken a holistic approach to five interconnected and interdependent areas where we can make the most contribution – the food system, the circular economy , climate change, nature and social sustainability.”

Tetra Pak's Sustainability Report FY2022 highlights the company's achievements over the past year and ongoing initiatives to protect food, people and the planet.

Specifically, testing the industry’s first fiber-based film to replace aluminum foil in aseptic cartons – a breakthrough in the journey towards fully recyclable aseptic packaging. Providing 66 million children in 44 countries with access to nutritious drinks through school feeding programs, helping improve children’s health, increase school attendance and support agricultural development…
