(NLDO)- Decree 168 stipulates that the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level has the right to impose a fine of up to 5 million VND and confiscate exhibits.


Decree 168/2024/ND-CP regulating administrative sanctions for violations of road traffic order and safety stipulates the sanctioning authority of Chairmen of People's Committees at all levels.

Accordingly, Article 42 of Decree 168 stipulates that the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level has the right to issue a warning; impose a fine of up to VND 5 million and confiscate exhibits and means used to commit administrative violations with a value not exceeding VND 10 million.

Similarly, the Chairman of the District People's Committee has the right to issue a warning, but is also allowed to impose a fine of up to VND 37.5 million, revoke the right to use a license or practice certificate for a period of time or suspend operations for a period of time and confiscate the exhibits and means used to commit administrative violations with no value limit.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has the right to issue a warning, impose a fine of up to VND75 million, revoke the right to use a license or practice certificate for a period of time or suspend operations for a period of time and confiscate the exhibits and means used to commit administrative violations.
