This year, Can Tho city organized a military enlistment ceremony at a gathering point in Thoi Lai district and other districts with many cultural and sports activities, visiting and encouraging new recruits before enlistment.

Can Tho City Military Command said that the quantity and quality of military recruits this year reached 100% of the target, ensuring health standards and educational qualifications.

Of which, the rate of young people joining the army aged 18-21 is over 68%; 12th grade education level is over 43%; college and university level is over 25.42%, technical expertise is over 31%; party members are 5.35%, and union members are 94.65%.

In his congratulatory speech and encouragement to the young men leaving for military service, the leaders of Can Tho city hoped that the young people would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition of their homeland, strive to train and excellently complete all assigned tasks, and become good soldiers and good citizens.

It is recommended that localities and families with children leaving for military service regularly coordinate to effectively implement military rear policies so that young people can feel secure in training and contributing in the military environment.

To encourage and support young men performing military service in difficult circumstances, the Military Service Council at all levels in Can Tho city has cared for and supported young men and their families in many forms from local funding sources.
