Cergy City supports Hue with 25,000 Euros to overcome the consequences of natural disasters

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of December 8, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City Nguyen Thanh Binh received and worked with the delegation of Cergy City (France) led by Mr. Moussa Diarra, Deputy Mayor in charge of International Cooperation. Also attending were Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City Nguyen Thi Ai Van.

At the meeting, Mr. Moussa Diarra thanked the leaders of Hue City for their warm welcome and said he was impressed by the ancient and peaceful beauty of the ancient capital. Sharing the damage caused by recent floods, he affirmed that Cergy is always ready to accompany and support Hue. On this occasion, the delegation donated 25,000 Euros in emergency aid to help Hue overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Mr. Moussa Diarra highly appreciated the cooperation between Hue and Cergy in recent times, especially in the fields of culture, education , tourism and traditional crafts. These exchange programs have created an important foundation for the two sides to continue to expand cooperation more deeply. He expressed his desire to strengthen tourism cooperation, considering it an important bridge in the context of Hue becoming a centrally-governed city, and emphasized that Cergy hopes to develop bilateral relations in a long-term and sustainable direction.

Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh thanked Cergy City for its concern and sharing with Hue during difficult times. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh said that Hue always attaches importance to and wishes to strengthen substantive cooperation with Cergy in areas of both sides' strengths such as culture, tourism , education, urban planning and ecological transformation. The city is ready to coordinate in implementing tourism promotion programs, promoting destinations, organizing survey teams and connecting travel businesses to expand the two-way tourist market.

The leaders of Hue City also proposed that the two sides develop a detailed action plan to implement feasible cooperation projects that are suitable to the development needs of each locality. At the same time, they hope to promote the image of Hue and Cergy through exchange events, joint promotional activities, and experience survey programs to promote the exchange of tourists and businesses.
