TPO - A thick layer of fog enveloped Vinh city ( Nghe An province ) early this morning. Visibility was obscured, making it difficult to see and causing many vehicles to slow down.

According to the forecast of the North Central Region Meteorological and Hydrological Station, today (January 9th), the area will be generally cloudy, with scattered fog and light mist in the early morning, and cold weather.

Authorities advise that when driving through foggy areas on national highways with many mountain passes, drivers should slow down, maintain traction, stay in their lane, and pay close attention to warning signs, reflective markers, road markings, and lane markings; avoid overtaking in foggy conditions or when visibility is limited; and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front. In particular, drivers should check their vehicle's braking system and overall safety to avoid unfortunate accidents.
