In a brief exchange with a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Tam Nong District People's Committee, said: "The traffic hours across Phong Chau pontoon bridge will be changed from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM daily, previously from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. This change aims to meet the needs of people in their daily lives, going to school, and going to work."

Earlier, at 6 PM on October 1st, the Phong Chau pontoon bridge had to be temporarily closed due to the rising water level of the Red River, with many trees and obstacles floating and getting stuck on the bridge, causing excessive pressure on it.

The traffic hours across the Phong Chau pontoon bridge have been changed to 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM daily.

Shortly afterwards, on the afternoon of October 4th, the Engineering Corps transported residents on both sides of the Phong Chau bridge area across the river using military ferries, temporarily replacing the pontoon bridge.

By approximately 5:30 PM on October 6th, the Phong Chau pontoon bridge was reopened to traffic, serving the transportation needs of the local people.

Vehicles permitted to cross the bridge include: bicycles, motorbikes, mopeds, and three-wheeled motorbikes, which are allowed to travel in both directions at a speed not exceeding 5 km/h.

For motor vehicles, only passenger cars and pickup trucks are allowed to travel in one direction on the bridge, with a 10-minute time limit for each direction, a minimum distance of 30m between vehicles on the bridge, and a speed limit of 10km/h.
