The competition is organized on a regional scale to spread the unique characteristics associated with the preservation and promotion of the values of the "Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiet Bac" World Heritage Complex; to introduce the image of the land, people, beauty in life, activities, production and natural landscapes in the provinces and cities of Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, and Hai Phong.
Eligibility: All Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and above, residing in Vietnam and abroad, as well as foreigners working, studying, and living in Vietnam, are eligible to participate in the competition. Members of the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Judging Panel, and Secretariat are not allowed to submit entries.
Entries to the "Heritage Moments of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiet Bac" photo contest can be in any genre: landscapes, portraits, and everyday life in the provinces and cities of Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and Hai Phong. The entries should reflect the landscapes, architecture, ancient artifacts, and valuable relics of Yen Tu, Vinh Nghiem, Con Son, and Kiet Bac; rituals, festivals, folk culture, and religious spaces; portraits of those who preserve, transmit, or create heritage so that it continues to thrive in modern life; conservation activities linked to tourism development and the local economy ; or new initiatives in heritage management and exploitation; and scenes of daily life, work, and production associated with heritage spaces, demonstrating the connection between heritage and the community.
Contest entry requirements: Entries must be single or series photos, in digital format (jpg file). The longest side must be at least 3500 pixels, with a resolution of 300 dpi. Photos must not have borders, captions, or signatures, and must not contain any author identification symbols. Photos that do not meet these requirements will be disqualified immediately without notice.
Contest Rules: Authors are responsible for the copyright of their works. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for any disputes related to copyright. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify works that violate the rules before, during, and after the Contest.
Submitted photos can be in color or black and white. Each author may only use one name as it appears on their National Identity Card or Citizen Identification Card.
Single photos: Each photo is a separate work (each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 10 works to the Contest).
Photo series: A maximum of 3 photo series, each series being a single work, consisting of 5 to 8 photos. Each series must include a description of its content and captions for each photo, outlining the series' structure; and a mock-up image of the overall series. The author must number the photos in the series from 1 to 8 (specific instructions will be provided on the website when submitting photos).
In cases where the author submits both single photos and photo sets, the single photos must not be duplicates of photos in the photo sets.
When uploading photos for the contest, authors must clearly state the location and time of creation.
Works that have previously won national and regional awards (from color to black and white and vice versa) organized, co-organized, or sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists are not accepted (photos that have won awards and been exhibited at the provincial level are still eligible to participate).
We encourage submissions of works created from 2023 to the present.
The winning and selected works for exhibition will receive Certificates from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) and will be scored regionally according to the Association's regulations. Authors will be paid royalties according to current regulations. The Organizing Committee of the Competition has the right to use the submitted works for promotional and advertising activities related to the Heritage Complex or for non-commercial activities without paying any other remuneration to the authors.
If a winning work or exhibition infringes on copyright and related rights as stipulated by law, the Organizing Committee will revoke the award.
If necessary, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to request the author to submit the original file for verification. Images containing information such as names, watermarks, place names, borders, etc., will be considered invalid.
The deadline for submitting entries is from the date of announcement of the Contest Rules until March 31, 2026. Judging will begin immediately after the submission period ends. The results will be announced at the end of April 2026. The awards ceremony and photo exhibition will be held in May 2026.
Finally, the Organizing Committee will award 01 First Prize worth 30 million VND; 02 Second Prizes, each worth 20 million VND; 03 Third Prizes, each worth 10 million VND; and 20 Consolation Prizes, each worth 5 million VND.
