On July 31st, the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) officially launched the trading of BCG Energy Joint Stock Company shares. 730 million shares (code BGE) were listed on the UPCoM market with a reference price of 15,600 VND per share, and a trading range of +/- 40% in the first trading session.

Renewable energy is experiencing impressive growth.

The number of BGE shares registered for trading is 730 million, equivalent to a market capitalization of VND 11,388 billion . Listing on the UPCoM exchange will help BCG Energy more easily raise capital for its upcoming potential energy projects.

Mr. Ng Wee Siong Leonard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BCG Energy, said that this is a significant milestone in BCG's journey, symbolizing not only its growth but also its commitment to contributing to shaping the future of the renewable energy market in Vietnam.

BCG Energy is a key member in the energy sector of Bamboo Capital Group (stock code: BCG).

In recent years, BCG Energy has consistently recorded impressive business growth results.

In 2021, the company achieved revenue of 760 billion VND, and in 2022, revenue grew strongly by 40% to 1,064 billion VND.

In 2023, BCG Energy's net revenue increased by 5.8%, reaching over VND 1,125 billion.

For the first six months of 2024, BCG Energy's consolidated net revenue reached VND 698.8 billion, a 22% increase compared to the same period last year. Consolidated after-tax profit reached VND 290.7 billion, a sharp 33-fold increase compared to the first half of 2023.

BCG Energy's renewable energy segment has become a crucial pillar, generating the largest revenue stream for Bamboo Capital Group today.

BCG Energy currently owns a portfolio of nearly 1GW approved under the Power Development Plan VIII, with a vision for implementation until 2030.

Notably, BCG Energy will be implementing a series of large-scale wind power projects in the near future, including Dong Thanh 1 (80MW) and Dong Thanh 2 (120MW) wind power plants in Tra Vinh province, and Khai Long 1 (100MW) in Ca Mau.

In addition, BCG Energy has also recently entered the waste-to-energy sector, having commenced construction of the Tam Sinh Nghia waste-to-energy plant in Cu Chi (Ho Chi Minh City) in July 2024. BCG Energy stated that it will soon implement waste-to-energy plant projects in Long An and Kien Giang provinces.

Expanding into the waste-to-energy sector is expected to boost BCG Energy's revenue and contribute to Vietnam's clean energy transition.
