Candidates in Hanoi brave the sun to complete procedures for high school graduation exam

At 2:00 p.m. on June 25, more than 124,000 candidates in Hanoi were present at the examination sites to hear about the examination regulations and schedule for the 2025 high school graduation exam.

The weather on the afternoon of June 25 was hot and sunny. According to Thanh Nien , at the exam site of Luong The Vinh Secondary School (Cau Giay District, Hanoi ), candidates only showed up close to the exam procedure time.

Volunteers are on duty in front of the exam site gate to welcome candidates.

"Because of the hot weather and the long distance, my parents took me here by car. When I got here, I was enthusiastically guided by volunteers and teachers, so I found the exam room very quickly," said Vu Phuong Diem Quynh, a student at the Foreign Language High School.

According to the announcement, candidates need to bring their ID card and exam card to the exam location so that the invigilator can guide them through the procedures, correct any errors, and listen to the exam regulations and schedule. "The most important thing is to prepare yourself with a cool head and good health. Although I am still quite nervous, I am ready for the exam tomorrow," Nguyen Minh Duc (student of the Center for VocationalEducation - Continuing Education, Cau Giay District) shared.

The exam site of Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School (Cau Giay District, Hanoi) has 696 candidates with a total of 32 exam rooms.

The invigilator guides the candidates on the exam regulations. The 2025 high school graduation exam takes place in a special context, being the first exam to apply the 2018 General Education Program, while still being organized for candidates according to the 2006 General Education Program.

For candidates participating in the new program, they will take 4 exams, of which math and literature are compulsory and 2 are optional.

This year's high school graduation exam is organized in 3 sessions, one session shorter than before. On the first day (June 26), candidates take 2 compulsory subjects: literature and math. On June 27, they take an elective subject. "I checked the information on the exam card very carefully, so the procedure went smoothly. Tonight I will have a delicious meal before starting this exam," Nguyen Quang Minh (student of Urban Construction College) shared.
