Candidates in Hanoi brave the sun to complete procedures for high school graduation exam

At 2:00 p.m. on June 25, more than 124,000 candidates in Hanoi were present at the testing sites to hear about the exam regulations and schedule for the 2025 high school graduation exam.

The weather on the afternoon of June 25th was hot and sunny. According to Thanh Nien newspaper, at the exam center of Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School (Cau Giay District, Hanoi ), candidates only arrived just before the exam registration process began.

Volunteers are stationed at the exam site entrance to welcome candidates.

"Because of the sunny weather and the long distance, my parents drove me here. When I arrived, the volunteer staff and teachers guided me enthusiastically, so I found the exam room very quickly," said Vu Phuong Diem Quynh, a student from the Foreign Language Specialized High School.

According to the announcement, candidates need to bring their citizen identification card and exam card to the exam site so that invigilators can guide them through the procedures, correct any errors, and explain the exam regulations and schedule. "The most important thing is to prepare myself with a cool head and good health. Although I'm still quite nervous, I'm ready for the exam tomorrow," shared Nguyen Minh Duc (a student at the Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center of Cau Giay District).

The exam center at Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School (Cau Giay District, Hanoi) has 696 candidates and a total of 32 examination rooms.

Exam supervisors guide candidates on exam regulations. The 2025 high school graduation exam takes place in a special context, being the first exam to apply the 2018 general education program, while still being held for candidates following the 2006 general education program.

For candidates participating under the new program, they will take four exams, including compulsory mathematics and literature, and two elective subjects.

This year's high school graduation exam is being held in three sessions, shortened by one session compared to previous years. On the first day (June 26th), candidates will take the two compulsory subjects: Literature and Mathematics. On June 27th, they will take the elective subjects. "I checked the information on my exam card very carefully, so the registration process went quite smoothly. Tonight I will have a really good meal before starting this exam," shared Nguyen Quang Minh (a student from the College of Urban Construction Engineering).
