PRESS RELEASE NO. 3 OF THE 5TH EXTRAORDINARY SESSION, 15TH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

On Thursday, January 18, 2024, the National Assembly continued its third working day, which was also the last working day of the 5th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly at the National Assembly House under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

The National Assembly held a flag-raising ceremony after the closing session of the 5th Extraordinary Session, January 18, 2024

Morning

The National Assembly held the closing session of the 5th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly under the direction of Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man . The National Assembly listened to the Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong present the Report on adjusting the Program of the 5th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly. After that, the National Assembly voted to approve the adjustment of the Program of the 5th Extraordinary Session by a decisive vote (withdrawing the content submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval of the Resolution of the 5th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly from the Session's program). The results were as follows: 464 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 94.12% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), of which 462 delegates approved (equal to 93.71% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), and 2 delegates did not approve (equal to 0.41% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

The National Assembly listened to Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh present a Report on receiving, explaining and revising the draft Land Law (amended); then, the National Assembly voted to pass the Land Law (amended) by electronic voting, with the following results: 477 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 96.75% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), of which 432 delegates approved (equal to 87.63% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), 20 delegates did not approve (equal to 4.06% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), and 25 delegates did not vote (equal to 5.07% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

The National Assembly listened to Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh present a Report on receiving, explaining and revising the draft Law on Credit Institutions (amended); then, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law on Credit Institutions (amended) by electronic voting, with the following results: 477 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 96.75% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), of which 450 delegates approved (equal to 91.28% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), 16 delegates did not approve (equal to 3.25% of the total number of National Assembly delegates); 11 delegates did not vote (equal to 2.23% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

The National Assembly listened to Chairman of the National Assembly's Council of Ethnic Minorities Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam present a Report on receiving, explaining and revising the draft Resolution on a number of specific mechanisms and policies to implement national target programs; then, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution by electronic voting, with the following results: 465 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 94.32% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), of which 455 delegates approved (equal to 92.29% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), 4 delegates did not approve (equal to 0.81% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), and 6 delegates did not vote (equal to 1.22% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

The National Assembly listened to the Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh present a Report on receiving, explaining and revising the draft Resolution on the use of general reserves and central budget reserves of the Medium-term Public Investment Plan for the period 2021-2025 for ministries, central and local agencies and Vietnam Electricity Group; then, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution by electronic voting, with the following results: 470 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 95.33% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), of which 466 delegates approved (equal to 94.52% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), 3 delegates did not approve (equal to 0.61% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), and 1 delegate did not vote (equal to 0.20% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).
