With the proactive spirit and sense of responsibility towards the community of more than 60 officers, soldiers, and youth union members, the unit collected over 1 ton of various types of waste (mainly plastic bags, plastic bottles, household waste, etc.) and transported it to the designated disposal site.
This is a practical activity aimed at cleaning up the living environment, contributing to maintaining a bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscape in Phu Quoc.
Lieutenant Colonel Phan Tien Tung, Political Officer of Squadron 422, emphasized: "The general cleanup activity not only contributes to building a regular barracks and a clean environment, but also spreads the message of protecting the marine environment, raising community awareness in reducing waste, preserving the green, clean, and sustainable sea and islands of our homeland; and at the same time further strengthens the solidarity between the military and the people in the area where we are stationed."
