Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the Party and State have guidelines, policies, and strategies for national development in all fields, including sports . The goal is the comprehensive development of human beings, in accordance with the country's conditions and circumstances in each period, with the perspective that people are the center, the subject, the goal, the driving force, and the resource for national development. Even during wartime, we still paid attention to the field of sports, sending national teams to participate in international competitions.

Thanks to this, Vietnamese sports in general and high-performance sports in particular have developed increasingly, achieving encouraging results. Most recently, we successfully organized the 31st SEA Games in all aspects despite the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, and at the 32nd SEA Games held in Cambodia, we rose to the top of the medal table.

This contributes to raising the status of Vietnamese sports, Vietnamese football in general, and Vietnamese women's football in particular. In the context of a developing country with a transitioning economy, Vietnamese women's football has risen to the level of countries with better conditions.

The Prime Minister expressed his admiration for the confident, determined spirit and performance of the Vietnamese women's football team in their recent match against Germany, the world's second-ranked team. He requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Physical Education and Sports, and the Vietnam Football Federation to provide the best possible conditions to ensure our "diamond girls" are in top health, have the best physical condition, and are in the most relaxed state of mind before each match in the upcoming tournament.
The Prime Minister hopes that the players will be confident, play their best, employ appropriate tactics, demonstrate their character and determination to win, and "conquer the peak," but on the other hand, should not be overly focused on results or pressured to achieve them.

Victory and achievements are important, but even more important is the noble spirit of sportsmanship, overcoming oneself, fulfilling the expectations of fans, representing the national flag, and leaving a beautiful image in the hearts of domestic fans, international friends, and the world audience. The Party, the State, and relevant agencies will continue to pay attention and implement appropriate mechanisms and policies for the field of physical education and sports in general, and the women's football team in particular.
