The Vietnam-Korea Business Forum is one of the activities organized on the occasion of the State visit of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife to Vietnam from June 22 to 24 at the invitation of President Vo Van Thuong.

Currently, South Korea is one of Vietnam's leading partners, ranking first in foreign direct investment (FDI), second in official development assistance (ODA), and third in trade. In 2022, bilateral trade reached US$87 billion, an increase of 11.4% compared to 2021. In the first quarter of 2023, trade between Vietnam and South Korea reached US$18.1 billion.

To date, the majority of provinces, cities, and localities in Vietnam have signed cooperation agreements with many localities, organizations, and businesses in South Korea, and investors from the land of kimchi have also established a presence in 59 localities in Vietnam.
