Promoting understanding and friendship between Vietnam and Bulgaria

General Secretary To Lam hopes for more activities to promote understanding and friendship between the Vietnamese and Bulgarian peoples and the Asian and European cultures, contributing to connecting and strengthening the relationship between the two peoples and enriching the heritage of human civilization.

Within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria from October 22-24, on the evening of October 23 (local time), General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, visited the Bulgarian National History Museum, a special cultural work that preserves and honors the historical values, traditions and identity of the Bulgarian people for thousands of years. Also in attendance were Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and his wife.

The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam always considers culture as the spiritual foundation of society, an important endogenous strength, ensuring the country's sustainable development. Vietnam 's museum system such as the National Museum of History, the Museum of Ethnology, the Hanoi Museum, etc. are constantly being upgraded and modernized, aiming to combine conservation, education and international exchange.

The General Secretary hopes that in the coming time, the Bulgarian National History Museum and the national museums of Vietnam will have professional exchange activities, research cooperation, joint exhibitions, etc. and more importantly, promote understanding and friendship between the two peoples and two cultures of Asia and Europe, contributing to connecting and strengthening the affection between the two peoples and enriching the heritage of human civilization.

After visiting the Bulgarian National History Museum, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and his wife, watched an art performance with the participation of the famous Bulgarian "Trakia" Art Troupe and Vietnamese artists. In the evening of the same day, President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and his wife hosted an official reception for General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.

Also on October 23 (local time), Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary To Lam, visited and interacted with children at Zvanche Kindergarten No. 2 in the capital Sofia. Accompanying Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly was Mrs. Desislava Radeva, wife of the President of Bulgaria.
