On June 20, the Standing Committee of the 11th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, held the 23rd meeting to evaluate the performance of the Provincial People's Council in the first 6 months of the year; deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of the year. Comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting. Attending were comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and a number of relevant departments and branches.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Standing Committee and committees of the Provincial People's Council have performed well their functions, tasks and powers according to the provisions of law and the work program. The Provincial People's Council held 2 sessions and passed 20 resolutions to create a legal basis for authorities at all levels to carry out the tasks of socio -economic development of the province. The Provincial People's Council has also effectively implemented thematic supervision activities, supervision through explanations at the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. The delegations of the Provincial People's Council have increased surveys and urged the settlement of voters' recommendations. The work of receiving citizens, urging the settlement of complaints and denunciations of citizens has been well implemented...

In the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial People's Council continues to focus on solutions to improve the quality of its activities, especially improving the quality of its meetings. Prepare closely and organize a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected by the People's Council according to regulations. Improve the quality of direction and administration of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee in the activities of supervision, inspection, questioning, explanation, contact with voters, citizen reception, settlement of complaints and denunciations, etc.

At the meeting, representatives of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Council committees presented the Report on the results of the implementation of the 2022 supervision program of the Provincial People's Council; Submission on the Regulations on coordination in handling citizens' petitions sent to the Provincial People's Council, term XI, term 2021-2026; Submission on supplementing the Working Regulations of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XI, term 2021-2026, issued together with Decision No. 10 dated October 5, 2021 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Report on the draft results of thematic supervision of the Provincial People's Council on the implementation of policies and laws oneducation at educational institutions in Ninh Thuan province in the period 2018-2022; Report on the results of examining draft Resolutions submitted to the regular mid-year session of the 2023 Provincial People's Council, term XI.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council assessed the performance of the Provincial People's Council in the past time; requested the Standing Committee, committees, delegations and each Provincial People's Council delegate to continue to promote the sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties and limitations, and strive to successfully complete the tasks set for the last 6 months of 2023. In particular, it is necessary to focus on a number of key tasks: Prepare a report on the mid-term assessment of the Provincial People's Council's activities, paying attention to taking a vote of confidence for the Provincial People's Council delegates in the mid-term. Focus on solutions to improve the quality of supervision activities; strengthen regular supervision activities to promote socio-economic development, pay attention to supervising the implementation of 3 national target programs, the results of public investment disbursement, urgent issues related to the implementation of 5 key economic sectors of the province... Urging the implementation of the resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council. Organize explanations at meetings of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council. Prepare a program for thematic meetings with voters and farmers. Continue to perfect the working regulations of the Provincial People's Council. In addition, complete reports, draft resolutions... and do a good job of preparing for the regular mid-year meeting of the Provincial People's Council in 2023.
