Social networks explode with AI-generated video ads
With only 300,000 VND and less than an hour of waiting, Khoi Bi, a hair salon owner in Dong Nai , has owned a TVC (professional advertising video) for his shop.
This video was created using Veo 3 - Google's latest AI video creation tool.
“At first, I hired an account on TikTok to advertise video making services just to catch the trend without thinking much,” Khoi Bi admitted.
However, this “trend-catching” product has brought surprising results, with positive reactions and excitement from customers. “As soon as it was posted on social media, the video received many views and positive comments,” he shared.

Similarly, Tu Uyen (26 years old, Hung Yen ) also had a 15-second TVC with a complete script, for only a few hundred thousand VND. As a small business owner, owning a professional TVC used to be impossible for this girl due to the high cost.

“In the past, to produce a TVC, many parties quoted me at least 2 million VND for filming and editing alone. In addition, there were also costs for hiring actors, lighting, etc. But now, with just a few hundred thousand VND, I have an ‘acceptable’ product and even high advertising effectiveness because it is following the trend,” Uyen shared.

The story of Khoi Bi and Tu Uyen is not an isolated case. As soon as Veo 3 was launched, social networks witnessed an explosion of advertising videos created with artificial intelligence (AI).
Notably, many small businesses such as hair salons, clothing stores, motorbike repair shops or even roast duck stalls - places that never thought of making TVCs - are not out of this craze.
A wave of generative AI applications, particularly video creation tools like Google Veo 3, are quietly but powerfully changing the way outlets and businesses approach advertising and content production.
People filming are startled and worried that Veo 3 will steal their jobs.

Right after Google introduced Veo 3, AI-generated promotional videos with realistic scenes, clear voices, and flexible facial expressions made many video editors, especially young people, worried.
Thanh Minh (21 years old), an editor who has been working for a few months, shared: "The first time I watched a video created by Veo 3, I couldn't even recognize that it was an AI product."

Thanh Minh also added that, although generative AI has developed a lot in the past, it still has many limitations: “Just a few days ago, to create a realistic video, it was necessary to use many different AI applications and the ability to speak Vietnamese in these AI applications was still limited. However, with Veo 3 AI, it is completely different.”
Khanh Vi (22 years old) - a young person who has been working in the video editing profession for many years - shared: "In the past, to produce a video, I had to create a detailed time script. I even had to choose the filming time to ensure the lighting for each scene."
It is that meticulous process that creates the quality and unique mark in Vi's products.
However, just after watching the promotional videos using Veo 3 AI in recent days, Vi couldn't help but worry because the cost and method to create those videos were extremely low but the quality was surprisingly good. She admitted: "I will definitely lose a large number of customers."
Challenge or opportunity?
According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, CEO of an AI company, the power of Google Veo 3 comes from Google owning YouTube, a giant video repository.
Additionally, Veo 3 represents a significant breakthrough because it is an “all-in-one” solution: “With just one descriptive prompt, Veo 3 will output a complete video instead of having to use many different AI tools.”
Mr. Le Cong Nang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of a company applying AI in marketing and communications, commented: "The ability to automatically create sound effects and 'lip-sync' with high accuracy is the outstanding strength of Veo 3 compared to other AI applications."
With Veo 3, Mr. Nang's unit only took 15 minutes and less than 1 million VND to produce a 30-second TVC with 10 scenes for a Thailand tour. While previously, this usually took 1-3 weeks and cost up to 30-120 million VND.

Meanwhile, some other content creators see opportunities in this context. Instead of facing the fear of AI “stealing” their jobs, Do Hung (23 years old) - a freelancer specializing in the field of video editing - believes that Google Veo 3 and similar generative AI tools are both a trend to grasp and an opportunity.
“When AI video creation was first introduced, I was a bit worried, but after learning about it, I decided to turn it into an advantage. I use AI-generated videos to promote my own video and photo editing services,” Hung shared.

On a weekend morning at his favorite coffee shop, with a few clicks, Hung has created many complete video drafts in just a few seconds. “With just a laptop, a few AI tools to support video creation like Veo 3 and a comfortable working space, I can produce many demo ideas to present to customers,” Hung said.

However, besides his excitement, Hung admitted that to survive in the era of AI, he was forced to choose one of two directions: "If I want to retain customers for a long time, I have to constantly improve my skills, learn advanced film editing techniques and build my own style."
"Otherwise, I can follow the path of making a lot of quick videos to meet the demand for quantity, but it might be difficult to maintain reputation in the long term," this content creator admitted.
