Speaking at the seminar, journalist Nguyen Manh Hung, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper, emphasized that this activity aims to recall the heroic memories and the extremely glorious and magnificent historical period of the Capital. Through the authentic and vivid stories of historical witnesses, the seminar contributes to educating the revolutionary tradition and fostering noble ideals for the younger generation, so that today's generation can confidently build and develop the Capital.

Speaking at the seminar, former Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Pham Thanh Hoc, emphasized the significance and lessons of October 10, 1954 – the Liberation Day of Hanoi. “This is a very great lesson from the nation's long-term resistance struggle. The aspiration to defend the country, the spirit of fighting the enemy on all fronts… created a combined strength and a great, glorious victory, admired by the world ,” Mr. Pham Thanh Hoc expressed.
As someone who immersed herself in the fervent atmosphere of Hanoi's youth responding to the "Three Ready" movement, Ms. Duong Thi Vin, former Vice President of the Hanoi City Association of Former Youth Volunteers, recounted the years of patriotic aspirations of the capital's youth 60 years ago. "Many applications were sent to the Youth Union at all levels requesting to go to war, many of them written in blood," Ms. Duong Thi Vin said, expressing her belief that, regardless of the era, the youth of Hanoi in particular, and the youth of the whole country in general, will always uphold the spirit of volunteerism and dedication to building the capital and the nation.

At the seminar, journalist Phung Huy Thinh shared stories about the years when Hanoi students put aside their studies to enlist and fight to defend the Fatherland, and his memories of working as a war correspondent. Looking back on the 70-year journey of building and developing the capital city, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Long, former Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, expressed his belief in the current young generation to inherit the nation's traditions, possessing the courage, aspirations, and determination to build a more developed, civilized, and modern capital city.
The discussion also recorded many opinions from union members and young people expressing their pride, always remembering and promoting the glorious traditions of the nation in general, and the spirit of the Liberation of the Capital in particular, while recognizing their responsibility to strive to create new miracles in building the Capital and the country.

As part of the seminar program, the Hanoi Youth Newspaper organized a photo exhibition titled "Continuing the Tradition - Stepping Towards the Future". The exhibition, divided into three parts – "A Heroic Autumn Song", "Continuing the Tradition - Stepping Towards the Future", and "Proud Youth of Hanoi" – introduces the public to images and documents about the glorious and heroic historical period of the capital city, while also showcasing the legacy of Hanoi's youth in building and developing Hanoi – the City for Peace today.

The exhibition highlights the role and responsibility of young people in preserving, promoting, transmitting, and spreading the fine traditional values of the nation; conveys a positive message; and awakens patriotism, national pride, and pride in the capital city.
