Overview of the meeting.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan - Head of the Ha Tinh Sustainable Development Consulting Group in Hanoi informed about a number of activities in 2023. In the past time, members discussed, gave advice and suggested many solutions for socio-economic development.
In particular, on March 18, the Advisory Group had a meeting with the Provincial Party Committee. After the meeting, the Advisory Group sent a document to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee proposing 10 priority implementation contents for sustainable development of Ha Tinh.

Specifically, including: building and applying a model for approaching the sustainable, prosperous and safe development of Ha Tinh; researching and proposing digital breakthrough solutions and digital connections; prioritizing heavy industry, processing industry, renewable energy associated with energy conversion... to develop Ha Tinh sustainably; developing and promoting the spread of Vung Ang port; building, developing and applying solutions for tourism development and cultural industry to create products for socio-economic development based on exploiting, embellishing and preserving heritages and unique values of nature, society and culture;
Sustainable use of resources and environmental protection; development of high-quality human resources, health, improvement of happiness index; promotion of urbanization; attraction of domestic and foreign investment and resources; breakthroughs in institutions, policies, administrative reforms, decentralization, delegation of power, assignment of tasks to implement the Socio-Economic Development Plan for the period 2021-2025 and implementation of the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien - member of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Group, former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute, said that Ha Tinh needs to choose development goals associated with the current development momentum of the province.

Mr. Dang Quoc Tien - Chairman of the Ha Tinh Association in Hanoi: The Advisory Group has been working practically, spending time researching, surveying, exploring, and contributing many ideas and scientific knowledge to the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung thanked the Advisory Group for their affection and enthusiasm for their homeland Ha Tinh; and provided an overview of the province's socio-economic situation. In the 2021-2023 period, the average GRDP growth was about 6.3%; GRDP in 2023 is expected to reach about 8.3%. Budget revenue in the first 11 months of 2023 reached nearly 15,000 billion VND.
Disbursement of public investment capital has reached about 75% so far. The Government highly appreciated the land clearance for the North-South Expressway project. Investment attraction has achieved positive results. The pilot project to build a new rural province continues to receive focused direction.

The work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage is of interest. UNESCO has just issued a resolution to honor the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac; together with the great poet Nguyen Du, Ha Tinh has contributed 2 out of 7 world cultural celebrities of Vietnam.
The quality of mass education has changed positively; key education has achieved high results. Vocational training, job creation, and poverty reduction have been focused on. In particular, the province has implemented many meaningful social security programs, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

The Provincial Party Secretary also informed about some contents that Ha Tinh will focus on in the coming time, including continuing to propose to terminate the Thach Khe iron ore mining and selection project; taking steps to turn Ha Tinh University into a member university of Hanoi National University; focusing on attracting investment, promoting the advantages of the Son Duong - Vung Ang deep-water port cluster, turning Vung Ang Economic Zone into a growth driver; promoting the role of Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone; focusing on regional connectivity according to Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated November 3, 2022 of the Politburo; maximizing the potential and advantages of Ha Tinh's landscapes, landscapes, and cultural spaces; continuing to implement the Pilot Project to build a province that meets NTM standards...
The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that in the coming time, the Advisory Group will continue to accompany Ha Tinh to become a prosperous province as the goal set by the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
