At first, the Korean TikToker did not understand what happened. Later, when she learned the real reason, Yeaji was quite surprised and had to speak up. According to Yeaji, the last time she was in Vietnam was from June 10 to 17 when she attended the concert Anh trai vu ngan cong gai. Since then, she has not returned to Vietnam, while the incident happened on July 11.
Yeaji said that on July 11, she was in Seoul (South Korea) with her boyfriend and family. She said that many people may have seen her posting photos and videos filmed in Vietnam, as well as because her outfit was somewhat similar to the person in the video. The Korean TikToker said that when the incident had not been clearly verified, netizens were quick to criticize and make insulting comments, which was unreasonable. "I watched the video, the person in it was completely different from me, it was unreasonable. The offensive comments not only hurt me, but also affected my family and all those who have always supported me," she wrote.

In addition, Yeaji also sent her thanks to those who have always supported and believed in her. She expressed her hope that the online community would sympathize with her for having to post negative information on her personal page. Yeaji shared: "Currently, I am receiving both encouragement and apologies from many people. I receive a lot of support, but also a lot of criticism. I want to send this message to the "keyboard heroes" who continue to say malicious words. Even when the truth has been revealed, continuing to attack others with the keyboard is also a form of violence. Please stop making up stories, spreading rumors, and insulting people who have done nothing wrong. Finally, I want to send a message to everyone, please do not think that all Koreans are like those two women. There are still many good people in this world, it's just that the bad ones attract more attention...".
Below Yeaji's post, several social media accounts from Vietnam apologized to her and called on people to stop attacking unrelated people.
