Female body found about 2 nautical miles from capsized ship in Ha Long Bay

On July 25, according to information from the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the 116 search and rescue team discovered a female body floating in the Pineapple area of ​​Ha Long Bay, about 2 nautical miles from where the ship Vinh Xanh 58 capsized. Authorities are bringing the body to the mainland to verify its identity.

At around 3:00 p.m. on July 25, upon receiving a report from the public that a female body was found floating in the Pineapple estuary area, the authorities dispatched rescue forces to recover the body and take it to Bai Chay Hospital for identification.

However, authorities said it will take longer to identify the victim because the body is disfigured. If the body is the victim of the Green Bay 58 tourist boat capsized in Ha Long Bay, one person remains missing.

In recent days, despite the arrival of storm No. 3 (Wipha) and the frequent rain, search and rescue forces of Quang Ninh province have maintained their search for the unfortunate victims of the capsized tourist boat Bay Xanh 58, registration number QN 48-7105, with the determination to find all the victims.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 19, while the tourist boat Blue Bay 58, number QN48-7105, was traveling on route 2 on Ha Long Bay, it suddenly encountered a storm that caused the boat to capsize. The accident killed 49 people on board. Of these, only 10 survived, 37 bodies were found, verified and handed over to their families. The newly found victim is being verified. Authorities are trying to find the remaining victim.
