In Ho Chi Minh City, a free vocational training model is quietly creating opportunities for people with mild disabilities to integrate more strongly into the labor market, initiated by the Dong Tay Barbershop system. The program is especially meaningful on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3.
The vocational training class is taking place at 252 Nguyen Xi, Binh Loi Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Students are trained in vocational skills: curling - dyeing - shampooing - earwax - nails completely free of charge, without having to pay any fees, including vocational training tools.

Classes are held regularly from Monday to Saturday, with two time slots: 9am – 11am and 6pm – 8pm. Students who want to study all day are also supported.
Currently, the class has about 8 students. With a spacious training space, this model can receive 40-60 students per month. In particular, the class does not require an entry level or age limit. After about 3 months, students can be skilled and proactively find a job. Dong Tay Barbershop said it will prioritize accepting students who do not have a stable job.
It is known that the free training model initiated by Dong Tay Barbershop with the message "People with disabilities are only inconvenienced, not unfortunate", aims to support female workers in difficult circumstances and people with mild disabilities, especially the hearing impaired, to have more opportunities to learn a trade and integrate into the community. Thereby contributing to changing social awareness towards more respect and fairness towards people with disabilities.
