On the morning of January 12th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thang commune (Yen Mo district) held its delegate congress for the 2024-2029 term. This unit was selected by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Mo district to hold a model congress at the commune level.
During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune focused on innovating the content and methods of its activities, successfully implementing the targets set forth in the Congress Resolution. The campaigns and emulation movements were implemented with a clear focus, strongly stimulating the spirit of creative labor and competition among the people in participating in economic development, addressing social issues, building new rural areas, and achieving sustainable poverty reduction.
Notably, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations mobilized the people to donate nearly 7,000 square meters of land, more than 3,600 days of labor, and contribute and invest nearly 45 billion VND to build transportation infrastructure, upgrade and renovate village cultural houses, install street lighting, plant flowers and trees, etc.
Over 500 million VND was raised to support flood victims in Central Vietnam and COVID-19 prevention and control efforts; nearly 900 million VND was spent on upgrading, repairing, and renovating 17 houses for families with meritorious service, poor and near-poor households, and policy beneficiaries. The campaign to promote civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals received a positive response. 100% of villages have cultural centers; over 95% of households achieved and maintained the title of "Cultural Family"...
For the 2024-2029 term, the Congress has set forth six key action programs: Strengthening propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of all strata of the people, enhancing social consensus, and promoting the strength of national unity; improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, promoting democracy, and participating in building the Party and the State; encouraging all strata of the people to compete, innovate, and effectively implement campaigns and emulation movements; enhancing people's diplomacy and work with overseas Vietnamese; continuing to reform the organizational structure and improve the capacity of cadres of the Fatherland Front at all levels; and building united, consensual, safe, prosperous, and happy residential areas.
With the spirit of "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress elected 35 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thang commune for the 2024-2029 term and elected the official delegation to attend the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Yen Mo district for the 2024-2029 term.
