According to the information provided at the exhibition area, the Truong Son surface-to-sea missile system was researched and developed by the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ).
The components of the Truong Son VCS-01 missile system include: the VTRV-01 missile loading vehicle, the VCPV-01 command and control vehicle, the VLV-01 launch vehicle, the VRS-MCX surveillance and target designation radar, and the Song Hong VSM-01A anti-ship missile.Within this Truong Son complex, the Song Hong VSM-01A anti-ship missile will be the main combat component, tasked with intercepting surface warships.
The Song Hong VSM-01A anti-ship missile has a subsonic flight speed and a range of up to 80km.
Accompanying this is the Trường Sơn complex's radar tracking and target designation system, with a scanning range of approximately 200km, capable of destroying enemy surface vessels and targets at sea.
In particular, the Trường Sơn missile system's inclined launch platform, with its modular design, can be easily reloaded after each attack. The vehicles carrying the equipment are equipped with automatic tire inflation technology, allowing them to remain mobile even if some tires are damaged.
