Public awareness campaigns on rabies prevention and control have been intensified at the grassroots level through various forms such as: communication via Zalo, Facebook, and public address systems; direct communication in the community; and integration into schools in the area, contributing to raising public awareness and encouraging proactive rabies vaccination upon exposure.


In addition, the health sector ensures the availability of vaccines to provide free post-exposure prophylaxis for 100% of eligible individuals, including the poor, near-poor, ethnic minorities, people with meritorious service to the revolution, children under 6 years old, those participating in epidemic prevention and control in high-risk areas, and other special cases.
