On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the afternoon of July 15, General Secretary To Lam and the Central working delegation visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center (Ninh Xa ward, Bac Ninh province).

Established in 1965, Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center is currently a public service unit under the Department of Meritorious People ( Ministry of Home Affairs ).
The center receives, manages, nurtures, treats, rehabilitates and implements policies and regimes for seriously wounded and sick soldiers of grade 1/4, with a labor loss rate of 81% or more, and with special injuries.
Over the past 60 years, the center has received thousands of wounded and sick soldiers injured in the battlefields of the resistance wars against France and the US, protecting the northern and southwestern borders, and performing international duties in Laos and Cambodia for convalescence and treatment.
Currently, the center is nurturing, treating and implementing policies for 84 seriously wounded and sick soldiers of level 1/4 from 13 provinces and cities across the country.

Moved when returning to the center, General Secretary To Lam sent his most sincere regards and deepest encouragement to the wounded and sick soldiers, as well as all the officials, civil servants and workers of the center.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the General Secretary expressed his deep gratitude, sincere affection and great admiration to you, my brothers and sisters - those who fought bravely, sacrificed their youth and bodies for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Despite the injuries caused by war, they always maintained their qualities, will, faith and optimism, truly shining examples for the younger generations to be proud of, learn from and follow.

General Secretary To Lam praised the efforts, dedication and responsibility of the team of cadres, doctors and staff of the center - the silent but loving people who contribute to bringing warmth, safety and the best care to wounded and sick soldiers.
The General Secretary thanked the wives and relatives of the wounded and sick soldiers who sacrificed their lives and put aside their own lives to stay at the center, wholeheartedly caring for and accompanying the comrades to overcome their injuries and illnesses.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that our Party, State and people have always been consistent in the view that "people with revolutionary contributions are precious assets of the nation", a sacred symbol of patriotism and Vietnamese morality; the work of "Repaying gratitude", "When drinking water, remember its source" is not only a major policy, but also a command from the heart, a political responsibility, and morality of the entire political system and society.

General Secretary To Lam requested that Party committees, authorities and organizations at all levels of Bac Ninh province continue to pay attention and take better care of the material and spiritual lives of war invalids, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services. Not only care but also create conditions for them to continue to contribute, spread their determination and positive life values to the community.
The General Secretary hopes that war invalids and sick soldiers will continue to uphold the tradition of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, live happily and healthily, and be a shining example for their descendants to follow; each person is a vivid symbol of the Vietnamese will and determination, a living testament to the spirit of patriotism, indomitability, and loyalty, continuing to be the flame of revolutionary inspiration for future generations.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers being treated at Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center.
On the same afternoon, General Secretary To Lam and the Central delegation, along with leaders of Bac Ninh province, offered incense at the center's Martyrs' Memorial House, commemorating the martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
