Summary and Award Ceremony of the 2023 Ninh Thuan Province OCOP Product Favorite Online Voting Contest

On November 27th, the Steering Committee of the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" Campaign of Ninh Thuan province held the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony for the Online Contest to Vote for the Most Popular OCOP Products in Ninh Thuan Province in 2023. Mr. Le Van Binh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province, and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" Campaign, attended the event.

The contest took place for nearly 2 months, from August 19, 2023 to October 10, 2023. The Organizing Committee received 41 entries, corresponding to 41/134 OCOP-recognized products of 26/50 participating OCOP product owners and posted on the fanpage "OCOP Ninh Thuan Products". According to statistics on the fanpage, the contest had 5,763 votes; the number of shares was 1,921. The voting subjects were civil servants, public employees, union members, members of the armed forces, workers, retired officials and the people. In general, the entries complied with the contest rules, most of which were associated with "Product stories" or messages introducing OCOP products, conveying concise, succinct, and complete information about the products to the community.

As a result, the Organizing Committee judged and awarded 17 prizes for the most popular OCOP products and 4 prizes for the winners of the online contest "Voting for the most popular OCOP products of Ninh Thuan province".

Comrade Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, presented the award for the product loved by consumers to Canh Dong Viet Food Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province, emphasized that the competition reflected the current state of OCOP products in a very diverse and creative way, conveying the message of "Product Stories" to all levels of the people. This contributed to building a higher level of "trust in Vietnamese goods" among the people of the province and helped consumers and distributors clearly identify and distinguish Ninh Thuan's OCOP products from other products in the process of trade and consumption. In addition, the competition also contributed to inspiring and motivating the entrepreneurship movement associated with the development of OCOP products, promoting the history and traditional culture of Ninh Thuan; creating a unique beauty and realizing the goal of shifting the mindset from "prioritizing" to "trusting" Vietnamese goods in the future.
