The gold medal-winning performance - the song and dance medley "The First Communist - Our Party, the Sun is High" was chosen to be performed at the closing night.
The competition, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, Tuyen Quang province and Bac Ninh province, took place from August 4th to 9th.
The competition attracted approximately 1,500 singers, actors, and propagandists from 24 mobile propaganda art troupes from localities across the country.
According to the regulations, each unit must create a comprehensive art program with high propaganda and artistic value, a maximum duration of 35 minutes, and a minimum of 5 performances.
At the conclusion of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 27 gold medals and 52 silver medals to outstanding performances. The Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, presented certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 26 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the competition. With impressive results in this competition, Can Tho City secured a top position, ranking only behind the three host units.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City congratulated the artists and actors at the closing ceremony of the competition in Hai Phong City.
Can Tho City participated in the competition with 5 performances. As a result, 4 performances were awarded medals: 1 gold medal (the song and dance medley "The First Communist - Our Party, the High Sun"); 3 silver medals (the traditional song "River Market"; the musical drama "The River's Self-Confession" and the song and dance medley "The Nation Rises Up - Can Tho Aspires to Reach Further").
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phu, Director of the Can Tho City Center for Culture and Arts, received a certificate of commendation from the Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The program submitted by the Can Tho City unit reflects the unique cultural identity of the Mekong Delta's waterways and the distinctive characteristics of Can Tho City.
Within the framework of the competition, the Can Tho City delegation participated in four nights of propaganda performances for the people in Tuyen Quang province and Hai Phong city, including serving as the performance director on the night of August 5-8 in Ha Giang 1 ward, Tuyen Quang province.
