Giving health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances

(CTO) - On December 5, Vietnam Social Security (VSS) organized a program to give health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Hung Phu ward, Can Tho city. Mr. Chu Manh Sinh, Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security, along with representatives of departments, branches, city Social Security and local authorities, attended the program.

In Can Tho City, the number of health insurance cards given to people in difficult circumstances is 2,016 cards, sponsored by Vietnam Social Security, banks, companies, businesses, hospitals... In Hung Phu ward alone, representatives of Vietnam Social Security and sponsors gave 350 health insurance cards; of which, 30 health insurance cards were given directly to people in difficult circumstances who do not have health insurance cards; the remaining health insurance cards will be directly handled by Hung Phu Social Security in terms of new issuance procedures, promptly given to people in the area for use when examining and treating diseases.

This is a program responding to the call of the leaders of the Party, the State, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. In recent years, especially during the "Tet holiday", officials, civil servants, and public employees of the Vietnam Social Security system have organized a program to give social insurance books and health insurance cards - bringing a warm Tet to the poor.
