Accordingly, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police will coordinate with the Commune-level Police to compare information of vehicles, vehicle owners and drivers according to the list provided by the Traffic Police Department with the National Database on local residents; directly verify and collect actual information of vehicles and citizens residing in the area.
Citizens are responsible for coordinating with the commune-level police force to provide complete and accurate information related to vehicles and necessary personal information as requested by the police agency.

After reviewing, comparing data and collecting actual information of citizens residing in the locality, the Commune Police send the results to the Traffic Police Department, which synthesizes and sends them to the Traffic Police Department for verification and updates to the Driver's License Database and sends the results to the vehicle registration agency to update and add vehicle and vehicle owner data to the Vehicle Registration Database.
The comprehensive review and cleaning of vehicle registration data and driving licenses aims to build a vehicle registration database and a driving license database to ensure "correct, sufficient, clean, and live" data, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management of vehicles and drivers of road motor vehicles.
This also adds resources to the national population database of the Ministry of Public Security , contributing to promoting digital transformation and administrative reform in the People's Public Security force.
This peak period is carried out under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security's leadership on the implementation of construction and putting into operation the Database on vehicle registration, driver's licenses (GPLX), digitizing records and ensuring effective connection with the National Data Center to share with units inside and outside the police sector.
During this general review and cleaning of driver's license data, Ho Chi Minh City Police also propagated and encouraged people to switch from using paper motorcycle driver's licenses to electronic driver's licenses and PET card driver's licenses; at the same time, supplemented and standardized the driver's license database of the Traffic Police Department.
