The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance agency has issued a warning to agencies, units, and citizens regarding the fact that those participating in social insurance and health insurance are not required to pay service fees when registering for voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency, in recent times, the work of disseminating information and encouraging people to participate in family-based health insurance and voluntary social insurance has been widely implemented in coordination with organizations supporting the development of target groups, contributing to expanding social security coverage in the city.
However, during the implementation process, some staff members of the organization supporting the target group still requested additional service fees beyond the regulations, affecting the rights of participants and eroding public trust in the policy.
Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance agency has requested that organizations supporting the development of beneficiaries strictly comply with legal regulations on social insurance and health insurance contributions; absolutely no additional fees, surcharges, or service charges should be collected when guiding people to participate.
The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance agency emphasized: "Acts of exploiting campaigning and consultation for personal gain will be handled according to regulations."
At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance agency also reminded people: "When participating in health insurance under the household scheme or voluntary social insurance, participants only pay according to the registered contribution level and payment method. There are no other fees beyond this contribution."
The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance agency requests participants to carefully check their information, request a receipt for the collected funds using the standardized form of the Vietnam Social Insurance, and immediately report any instances of incorrect collection to the Social Insurance agency.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance agency, it will continue to strengthen the management and inspection of collection activities by organizations supporting the development of beneficiaries in the area, while promoting transparency and ensuring that all citizens have access to complete and accurate information.
