The short story "Moon in the Mist" by author Duyen Phung revolves around the story of a Mong girl named May and her husband A Lenh. The difficult life in the highlands and the long-standing prejudices about women not being able to give birth make the relationship between May and A Lenh seem to have reached a dead end, especially when A Lenh follows his father's advice and goes to find a child to continue the family line and has a young daughter.
