(NLDO) - The Red Cross Society of Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City has brought many meaningful gifts to veterans and students in difficult circumstances in the "land of fire" Quang Tri.


On March 27, in response to Humanitarian Month 2025, the Go Vap District Red Cross Society (HCMC) coordinated with the Military Command, Veterans Association and Quang Tri Province Red Cross Society to organize the program "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" in Quang Tri province.

Presenting the national flag to the Red Cross Society of Trieu Phong district to build a national flag street

On this occasion, the program presented 40 gifts worth 40 million VND to veteran members in difficult circumstances, infected with Agent Orange - dioxin in the province;

Donated a community barber shop worth 20 million VND to the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command to serve ethnic minorities; awarded 20 scholarships (1 million VND/scholarship) to disadvantaged students who overcame difficulties to study well at A Tuc High School, Huong Hoa District; awarded 500 sets of clothes to students in the province. The total value of the gifts is more than 100 million VND.

In particular, the program presented 300 national flags from the program "Proud of the National Flag" of the Lao Dong Newspaper to build a national flag line for the Red Cross Society of Trieu Phong district.

On March 27, the Go Vap District Red Cross Society and delegates offered incense and paid tribute to the heroic martyrs resting at the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9 and Quang Tri Citadel.
