At the conference, Director of the Personnel Department Nguyen Huu Hoa read Decision 1368/QD-TTg dated November 14, 2023, on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, assistant to Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Member of the Political Bureau and Chairman of the National Assembly, to the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government.
At the announcement ceremony, on behalf of the Prime Minister , Central Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Inspector General Doan Hong Phong presented the decision, offered flowers, and delivered a speech assigning duties to the new Deputy Inspector General of the Government, Nguyen Van Cuong.
Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong (45 years old) is a well-trained official with extensive practical experience, holding a PhD in Economic Law, a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, and a Senior Certificate in Political Theory.
During his career, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong held various positions in different fields at the Government Office, the Hanoi City Party Committee, and the National Assembly Office, including: Deputy Director of the General Affairs Department, holding the rank of Director of the General Economic Affairs Department; Secretary to a Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister; and Assistant to the Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee.
From September 2021 until his appointment as Deputy Inspector General of the Government, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong served as Assistant to the Chairman of the National Assembly.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Inspector General Doan Hong Phong, on behalf of the Government Inspectorate leadership, congratulated the new Deputy Inspector General and emphasized: This is an important event for the Government Inspectorate in particular and the inspection sector in general, in the context of the entire sector having been and is urgently striving to complete all tasks assigned by the Party and the State in 2023.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Party Committee and the leadership of the Government Inspectorate, the Chief Inspector expresses his gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, the Prime Minister, and the central ministries and agencies for their leadership, guidance, support, and assistance in enabling the Government Inspectorate to successfully complete all its tasks, especially in personnel organization, which has now resulted in the appointment of all Deputy Chief Inspectors as stipulated.
The Inspector General emphasized: Comrade Nguyen Van Cuong is well-trained, has work experience, and has held many positions in various agencies and units, especially having served for a long time as Secretary and Assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Assembly, thus demonstrating his qualities and capabilities.
In the coming period, Comrade Nguyen Van Cuong, in his new position as Deputy Inspector General, will be assigned to lead and direct the implementation of state management tasks in areas within the functions and duties of the Government Inspectorate, and will directly supervise inspection work, citizen reception, handling of complaints and denunciations, and the prevention and fight against corruption and negative practices. The Inspector General requests that Comrade Nguyen Van Cuong demonstrate a firm political stance, viewpoint, and character. He should always be enthusiastic with a high sense of responsibility, make great efforts, and be decisive in his new work and tasks.
"With unity of purpose, strength, solidarity, and consensus, together with the Party Committee and the leadership of the Government Inspectorate, we will overcome difficulties and challenges, strive to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, and contribute to the building and development of the Inspectorate sector," the Chief Inspector said.
The Inspector General also requested that the leaders of the Government Inspectorate coordinate closely, comprehensively, and effectively; and that the leaders of departments, divisions, and units advise and assist Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Deputy Inspector General - in fulfilling his assigned tasks, especially in resolving difficult, important, and complex issues in the areas of work of the Government Inspectorate.
In his acceptance speech, the new Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Van Cuong thanked the Party Central Committee, the Party Committee of the Government, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Central Organization Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, the Central Internal Affairs Committee, and the Ministry of Interior for their trust in assigning him this responsibility.
In particular, we would like to express our gratitude to Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly, and Chairman of the National Assembly, for his attention, assistance, guidance, and training over the past period.
The newly appointed Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Van Cuong also expressed his gratitude to Inspector General Doan Hong Phong, the Party Committee of the Government Inspectorate, and the leadership of the Government Inspectorate for their trust and for choosing him to accompany and shoulder the responsibilities of the Inspectorate sector.
“I feel deeply honored and fortunate to be assigned to work in an agency with such a rich tradition as the Government Inspectorate, and I am profoundly aware that the assigned task is both an honor and a source of pride, but also a great responsibility. Inspection work is difficult, sensitive, and carries a heavy responsibility before the Party, the State, and the People. This is especially true during a period when our Party is intensifying its efforts to combat corruption and negative practices, build a clean and strong Party and political system, and ensure effective and efficient operation for national development,” said the new Deputy Chief Inspector.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong affirmed that he would strive his best, constantly cultivate, train, and learn to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
To fulfill his assigned duties, the new Deputy Inspector General hopes to receive the attention, assistance, support, and cooperation of the Inspector General, the Deputy Inspectors General, and all officials, civil servants, and employees in the agency to take over the work as quickly as possible, jointly shoulder the great mission of the Inspection sector, and effectively carry out the tasks assigned by the Party, the Government, the Prime Minister, and the expectations and trust of the people.
