(CLO) The exhibition "Special National Monument of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam" introduces to the Southern public a panoramic view of a typical relic of the capital Hanoi .


On October 18, in Can Tho City, the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam in collaboration with the Can Tho City Museum organized the exhibition "Special National Monument of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam" in the space of the Hung King Temple in Can Tho City.

With 4 main themes: "Temple of knowledge", "Cultivating talents", "Journey of imperial examinations" and "History of stone", distilled from thousands of documents, the exhibition recreated the formation and development process of the Temple of Literature.

The documents displayed at the exhibition also introduce to the public a number of cultural celebrities who have made important contributions to this temple of knowledge.

Visiting the exhibition, viewers feel like they are taking a trip back in time, immersing themselves in the intellectual and cultural space of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.

The theme “Temple of Knowledge” conveys the message that the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy is a place where the quintessence of Vietnamese philosophy converges, including important contributions from cultural celebrities. “Cultivating Talents” introduces the teaching and learning activities of the Imperial Academy - the first national school in our country.

With the theme “The Journey of the Imperial Examinations”, the exhibits record the process of striving, training and studying of ancient scholars from when they first learned to write until they successfully recorded their names on the golden board.

The final topic "History of Stone Steles" reviews the historical, cultural and artistic values ​​of the 82 stone steles of Doctoral Degrees at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, which have been recognized by UNESCO as a World Documentary Heritage.

Also at this exhibition space, Vietnamese culture lovers will have the opportunity to experience the heritage through printing patterns, which are typical motifs on 82 Doctoral steles currently preserved at the special national relic site of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, from woodblocks to do paper, which is completely of natural origin.

The exhibition "Special National Monument of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam" takes place from October 18 to December 18, 2024 at Hung King Temple (Lac Long Quan Street, Binh Thuy Ward, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City).
