(GLO) - The director of a company in Hai Duong used 61 illegal value-added tax invoices from two other businesses to account for input goods, inflating the amount of tax refunded and illegally profiting tens of billions of VND.
The Investigation Police Department of Hai Duong province has decided to prosecute and execute an arrest warrant against Pham Viet Hoa (born in 1987, residing in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi ) - Director of Aluminum Vietnam Co., Ltd. (address at 37, Quarter 4, Ninh Giang town, Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong province) for the crime of "Tax evasion".

Specifically, according to the initial investigation results of the Economic Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police), from September 2019 to May 2020, Pham Viet Hoa, in his role as Director of Vietnam Aluminum Co., Ltd., used 61 illegal value-added tax invoices from two businesses in Hanoi to account for input goods and inflate the amount of tax refunded. Subsequently, the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department issued a decision to refund the value-added tax on these 61 invoices, causing tens of billions of VND in losses to the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department.
The case is currently being further investigated and expanded by the Economic Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police).
