Although the storm's intensity has decreased from a super typhoon to a severe storm, it is still affecting a number of localities in southern China.

The Hainan Maritime Safety Administration raised its storm response level to level 2 at 4 PM on November 9th.
Due to the impact of the storm, many passenger train services to and from Hainan have been suspended. According to an announcement from the Guangzhou branch of China Railway Corporation, 45.5 pairs of high-speed rail trains circling Hainan Island were suspended on November 10th, and 2 pairs had their operating routes shortened, including 28 pairs of trains in Haikou city.
