Professor Nguyen Van Minh, Rector of Hanoi Pedagogical University, receives contributions from organizations and individuals for the Fund to Support Students in Disadvantaged Areas.

Right at the launch event, many organizations and individuals expressed their support for the fund. The total amount donated was approximately over 1.4 billion VND.

It is known that Professor Nguyen Van Minh not only donated all of the royalties from the first edition of the book (over 31 million VND), but also contributed a large sum of money (hundreds of millions of VND) to the fund. The University of Education Publishing House also committed to donating all profits from the book to the fund.

According to Professor Nguyen Van Minh, based on the reality of many students from remote and disadvantaged areas, the fund was established to carry out activities promoting learning and talent, providing scholarships and awards to motivate and encourage students to overcome difficulties and develop their abilities in their studies and training.

The Fund receives and manages financial resources, including donations, support, and contributions from agencies, organizations, associations, businesses, philanthropists, and alumni, to carry out activities in accordance with the Fund's principles and objectives and the provisions of the law.

"The country is undergoing changes, and many policies have been implemented for disadvantaged areas. These policies are being implemented on a large scale, but there are also exceptional cases. And we hope that these individuals will not be forgotten or left alone."

"This fund will be dedicated to students who excel in their studies and personal development; to students from disadvantaged areas who do not have to drop out of school, especially those who want to become teachers," Professor Nguyen Van Minh shared.

Professor Nguyen Van Minh also affirmed, Hanoi University of Education is committed to ensuring transparency and openness in the management and use of funds; and ensuring fairness and democracy in the selection of students eligible for support.
