The event attracted attention and strong response from the university, college and high school community across the country, demonstrating the importance of legaleducation on traffic order and safety in the school environment.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan An Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Students ( Ministry of Education and Training ), commented that the contest has practical significance, helping to raise legal awareness and compliance with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety for all classes of people, especially students.

The contest not only helps people equip themselves with knowledge and skills to safely control vehicles, but also contributes to building a culture of behavior when participating in traffic, gradually reducing traffic accidents, and building a safe and civilized traffic environment.

Through the contest, legal documents are widely disseminated, reaching a large number of cadres, party members, and people, especially young people who regularly use online platforms.

With a training orientation closely linked to practice and focusing on educating civic awareness, representatives of FPT Polytechnic College shared the view that this is a meaningful activity in equipping legal knowledge, especially in the field of traffic safety, an issue closely related to the daily lives of learners.

Mr. Vu Chi Thanh - Principal of FPT Polytechnic College - said: "With an educational environment that emphasizes practicality, FPT Polytechnic always focuses on integrating extracurricular activities that educate the law, in which traffic safety is an essential content.

This contest not only contributes to equipping students with legal knowledge but also creates an environment for them to practice civic awareness and social responsibility in daily life."

The Academy of Public Administration and Management also affirmed the profound significance of the competition. For the Academy, the work of propaganda and legal education in general for union members and students has always been of interest to the Party Committee - Board of Directors, units and mass organizations.

This contest will be an opportunity for many members and students in the entire Academy system to demonstrate their understanding of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety as well as contribute to raising awareness of compliance with the law on traffic order and safety.

Ms. Dao Thi Loan - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Academy of Public Administration and Management - emphasized: "The contest "Learning about the law on road traffic order and safety" is a contest of great significance in improving knowledge and awareness of law enforcement on traffic order and safety of people in society, especially the young generation - the future owners of the country."

Golden opportunity to build traffic culture

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha affirmed that the contest is a meaningful event, demonstrating the attention of the Government and the whole society to the work of ensuring traffic order and safety.

The Deputy Minister emphasized: "The contest is an opportunity for each of us to join hands in building traffic awareness and culture, contributing to reducing traffic accidents, bringing a peaceful and happy life to every family."

She also highly appreciated the online contest format on the Traffic Police Department's website and Dan Tri newspaper , helping information about the contest to be widely spread, reaching a large number of cadres, party members, people, especially young people.

Major General Nguyen Van Mung, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), commented that the contest is not only a playground but also a strong message sent to the whole society.

He called on organizations, schools, families, especially students, to actively participate, turn legal knowledge into concrete actions, and turn the slogan "traffic safety is the happiness of every family" into reality on every road and street corner.

Ms. Van Thuy Duong, Vice Principal of Luong The Vinh High School (Hanoi) shared that recently, the situation of blatantly violating and disregarding the law when participating in traffic is still common, and traffic culture still has many weaknesses.

Many years ago, the school tightened traffic discipline. If students were caught not being qualified to drive a motor vehicle, they would be punished depending on the severity and number of violations.

For example, if a student violates the rules for the first time, he/she must write a self-criticism. If he/she violates the rules many times, he/she will be temporarily suspended from school and his/her parents will be invited to the school to work and receive counseling.

I think the contest "Learning about the law on road traffic order and safety" is not only a playground but also a strong message sent to the whole society.

Especially for students, we hope and will mobilize them to actively participate, turn legal knowledge into concrete actions, and turn the slogan "traffic safety is the happiness of every family" into reality.

Mr. Dinh Quang Dung - Principal of Lac Long Quan High School (Hanoi) - considers the contest an important step in innovating the method of propagating the law to the young generation, a golden opportunity to build traffic culture from school.

“Organizing the contest on a digital platform is a very suitable way to suit the current learning habits and information access of students. This is not only a simple law competition but also an opportunity for students to practice their technology skills, self-study and proactively improve their legal awareness.

The valuable thing is that students from all regions, whether urban or rural, can easily participate, creating an equal, practical and widely spread playground," Mr. Dung shared.

According to him, the online exam format is a testament to the effective application of digital transformation in education, while opening up a new approach to legal education for high school students - the future generation of digital citizens.

As a private school with a flexible learning environment and a focus on moral education, Lac Long Quan High School regularly integrates civic education into extracurricular activities.

This competition has become a vivid visual material for schools to build experiential lessons, organize group discussions on traffic situations, and contribute to bringing the law into life in a close and easy-to-understand way.

“We encourage students to compete not only to win prizes, but also to understand their rights and obligations and to develop the qualities of a responsible citizen, especially in the context of increasingly complex traffic accidents. The competition truly brings humanistic values and sustainable education,” Mr. Dung emphasized.

The contest "Learning about the law on road traffic order and safety" will take place over 3 months, starting to receive entries from July 2 to September 30, and encouraging all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living in Vietnam to participate.

The contest content not only revolves around multiple choice questions and real-life situations related to the 2024 Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order and its implementing guidelines, but also encourages participants to propose solutions to ensure road traffic safety and order. This is an important highlight, encouraging the initiative and creativity of each individual in contributing to the overall development of society.

With enthusiastic response from universities, colleges and high schools nationwide, the contest "Learning about the law on road traffic order and safety" promises to achieve meaningful results, contributing significantly to raising awareness and building traffic culture in the community, starting from the school space, gradually reducing traffic accidents and building a safe and civilized traffic environment.
