Commander of Military Region 4 inspects the Border Guard Command of Thanh Hoa province

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of July 28, the working delegation of the Military Region 4 Command led by Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of Military Region 4, and the working delegation inspected combat readiness duties at the Border Guard Command of Thanh Hoa province.

At the working session, Colonel Do Ngoc Vinh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Command, briefly reported on the situation of the unit, the area and some results of the unit's implementation of political tasks to the working delegation.

Accordingly, in the first 6 months of 2025, especially after 1 month of implementing the decision of the Ministry of National Defense on the arrangement of local military agencies, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of Thanh Hoa province have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the resolutions, directives and orders of the superiors. Strictly maintaining the regime of command, on-duty, combat readiness (SSCD), monitoring, grasping and handling situations, contributing to maintaining security and order and social safety on the two borders of the province.

In particular, during the recent storm No. 3, the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command directed units on the two routes to supplement plans for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, coordinate with local authorities to deploy storm response plans, call for ships, prevent flash floods, landslides and evacuate people from dangerous areas.

The Provincial Border Guard Command mobilized 928 officers and soldiers, 46 boats and 70 cars, arranged 756 boats, tied 389 boats, and helped tie 108 houses. On the land border, units and localities propagated and mobilized the evacuation of 304 households/1,713 people to safe locations.

Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command welcomed the Commander of Military Region 4 and the working delegation.

Through inspection and understanding of the situation, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4, commended and highly appreciated the performance of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command in recent times.

In the coming time, he requested the Command Board to proactively develop a tight plan and response plan, strictly maintain the command, on-duty, and response regimes, increase the practice of on-site combat plans, combat to protect the area, and plans to mobilize forces and vehicles, especially to be ready to mobilize to participate in natural disaster prevention and control, and search and rescue when situations arise. Organize and effectively carry out the tasks of managing and protecting border security and sovereignty, controlling entry and exit, and fighting against crimes. Participate in consolidating political bases, developing local socio-economic culture, and advising and supporting local authorities to operate effectively and efficiently.
