Nguyen Huynh Tuong Vy's study abroad journey began with clear goals and a proactive spirit of researching and preparing everything meticulously.
The beginning of a great journey.
Upon receiving the notification of her acceptance with a substantial scholarship from Gonzaga University, Tuong Vy was overwhelmed with emotion: " It's a well-deserved reward for a long journey of effort, overcoming sleepless nights studying, writing essays, and the confusion and pressure of standing at this major crossroads in life ."
From her 11th grade year, Tuong Vy set a clear goal of studying abroad, proactively researching the education systems in developed countries, especially the fields of study she was interested in and the admission requirements of each school. By 12th grade, her preparation for studying abroad had become more systematic, not only focusing on English language skills but also honing her essay writing skills to find scholarships that matched her abilities and personal aspirations.

An internationally standardized bilingual environment, where English is frequently used in learning activities and daily communication, contributes to the strengths of Asian School students.
With her outstanding academic record for 12 consecutive years and an essay clearly showcasing her personality and future goals, Tuong Vy made a strong impression on the Gonzaga University admissions committee. Choosing to study Business Administration, Tuong Vy said that this field requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and flexibility – skills she has always wanted to cultivate and develop. "I believe this field of study will open up many career opportunities and help me easily adapt to a global work environment ," Tuong Vy shared.
Stepping out into the world from Asian School
Tuong Vy chose Gonzaga University not only because of its reputation and quality of education but also because of the deep care the university dedicates to each student. The friendly learning environment, small class sizes, and dedicated support from lecturers are what make her believe this is the ideal place to begin her university journey.
Despite her excitement for new experiences, she couldn't hide her anxieties: "I'm a little worried about adapting to life away from home and a new culture, but I believe that with thorough preparation, a proactive spirit, and especially with my family and parents as a strong support system, I can absolutely overcome the difficulties ahead ." Her dream of studying in a modern, multicultural environment is also the motivation for Vy to constantly strive every day.
"If you have a dream, start early. This journey requires a lot of perseverance and initiative. Don't hesitate to seek help from teachers, friends, or先輩s (senior students), and most importantly, always believe in yourself," Tuong Vy advised those who are nurturing the dream of studying abroad.

The learning environment is comfortable, fully equipped with modern, international-standard facilities, and designed to optimize students' learning and holistic development.
For Tuong Vy, her years studying at Asian School have provided invaluable experiences, helping her cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindset of a global citizen. Participating in extracurricular activities and academic competitions has helped her develop confidence, discipline, and adaptability – precious assets for her upcoming journey of global integration.
