Ky Anh Town signed a cooperation agreement with Khun Kham District of Laos

This activity aims to further promote the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos; and implement the minutes of the Summit between Ha Tinh province and Khammouane province.

From November 24-25, the delegation of Ky Anh town visited and worked with Khun Kham district (Kham Muon province - Laos). The two sides discussed issues of mutual concern and signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2023 - 2025.

According to the signed cooperation agreement, both sides will continue to effectively implement the foreign policy guidelines of the two Parties and Governments , and the Border Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao People's Democratic Republic; and implement the contents signed at the high-level conference between Ha Tinh and Khammouane provinces on March 27, 2023.

Both sides regularly disseminate and exchange information on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security, strengths, and development potential to officials and people in both localities, especially the younger generation. They coordinate in reviewing sectors and fields with similar advantages to cooperate and exchange experiences among departments, agencies, units, political and social organizations, and localities to link and cooperate in areas where there is a need.

At the meeting, leaders of Ky Anh town and Khun Kham district (Khammouane province) affirmed that the exchange and cooperation between departments, agencies, units, political and social organizations, and localities of both sides aim to build a comprehensive cooperative relationship in all fields, consolidate model units in the form of the special traditional friendly cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and two provinces; continue to bring about the comprehensive development of Ky Anh town and Khun Kham district; and officially agreed to establish a friendly cooperative relationship.

On this occasion, Ky Anh town presented Khun Kham district with 10 sets of computers, 100 gifts to support people affected by floods and local publications and OCOP products.

Also within the framework of the visit and working session in Khun Kham district (Kham Muon province), the delegation of Ky Anh town offered incense at the shrine of Ha Tinh volunteer soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Laos and learned about some important places and projects in the area.
