The Vietnam U16 team took the initiative to attack right from the opening whistle. Despite being considered the much stronger team, it wasn't until the 17th minute that Coach Tran Minh Chien's side scored the opening goal.
It was a well-coordinated play by the Vietnam U16 team that left the Brunei U16 defense stunned. Viet Long was the one who finished the move, scoring the winning goal for Vietnam U16.

With their defense crumbling, the Brunei U15 team conceded several goals in quick succession in the second half. In the 50th minute, Cao Cuong skillfully controlled the ball inside the Brunei U16 penalty area before passing it to Hong Phong, who surged forward from the second line. His accurate finish resulted in the seventh goal for Vietnam U16.
