A strong collision with a passenger bus on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway caused the 7-seat car to stagger for a while and then overturn, causing severe damage.
At nearly 11:00 a.m. today (November 14), the scene of a traffic collision between a 29-seat passenger van and a 7-seat car on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, through Long Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc City, was cleared by authorities.
Previously, at around 9:30 a.m. the same day, a 7-seat car with HCMC license plate, driven by a man over 40 years old, carrying a woman, was traveling on the HCMC - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway, from Thu Duc City to Long Thanh District ( Dong Nai ).
At km11+700, on the Long Thanh bridge slope, this vehicle collided with a 29-seat passenger bus with HCMC license plate traveling in the same direction. The strong collision caused the 7-seat car to stagger for a while and then overturn.
At the scene, the 7-seater car was badly damaged, overturned, and turned in the opposite direction of travel. People pried open the door and brought the people inside the car out. Both were in a state of panic.
The accident blocked one lane of Long Thanh Bridge. As a result, traffic jams continued from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai.
The management and operation unit of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway said the traffic collision did not cause any casualties or damage to highway property.
After the accident, Vietnam Expressway Technical Services Joint Stock Company coordinated with the Traffic Police Department (C08) of the Ministry of Public Security to approach the scene and regulate traffic.
