Great opportunity for Khanh Hoa to become a comprehensive green destination of the world

On September 11th, in Nha Trang, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, together with the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized a workshop titled "Making Khanh Hoa a Comprehensive Green Destination of the World".

This is a communication campaign within the framework of the Vietnam Green 2025 project, initiated by Tuoi Tre newspaper and the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance, in coordination with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, and other partner organizations.

Attending the workshop, on behalf of the central leadership, was Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Representing Khanh Hoa province were Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with leaders from various departments, agencies, business associations, and localities.

Among the guests were Mr. Nguyen Si Tuan - former Director of the Institute of Oceanography; MSc. Architect Tran Duc Phi - member of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Urban Planning & Development Association; Vice President of the Khanh Hoa Architects Association; Mr. Le Thanh - Chairman of the Management Board of the Green Economy Institute; MSc. Vo Tran Hai Linh, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism, Pacific University.

Mr. Huynh Ho Dai Nghia, M.Sc. - Faculty of International Relations - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Pham Minh Duc - Operations Director of Central Green SM Vietnam Market; Mr. Dinh Xuan Thuy - Deputy Commercial Director of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company.

Representatives from La Viet Coffee, Hoang Kim Bird's Nest, Vuon La Xanh, Chappi Coffee, TTC Agris, Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest, Cocoons Cosmetics, Dutch Lady Milk, Khang Bird's Nest, Ba Ninh Tam Phan Tea, D&T Group, and the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance.

Representing the organizing committee were Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province; and journalist Tran Xuan Toan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper - Head of the Vietnam Green Project Organizing Committee.

The program consists of two parts: a Green Experience Day and a thematic workshop titled "Making Khanh Hoa a Comprehensive Green Destination of the World".

The workshop began with a series of informative presentations from speakers, focusing on the potential, policies, and international experiences for Khanh Hoa to become a leading green destination in the region and the world.

Besides the presentations, the workshop included two open discussion sessions and a roundtable discussion on the topic: Proposing solutions for the green and sustainable development of tourism in Khanh Hoa, focusing on the contents of the Green Tourism Standards for destinations and accommodation establishments, aiming for 80% to achieve the green label by 2030...

Khanh Hoa is facing a great opportunity to become a comprehensive green destination of the world.

In his opening remarks at the workshop, journalist Tran Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, shared information about the Green Vietnam program initiated by Tuoi Tre newspaper in 2022.

"Bringing the program to Khanh Hoa, we recognize that Khanh Hoa is facing a great opportunity, with one of the world's most beautiful coastlines and exceptionally unique coastal forests. Therefore, we chose Khanh Hoa to organize the workshop 'Making Khanh Hoa a Comprehensive Green Destination of the World'," journalist Tran Xuan Toan shared.

According to him, when talking about a green Khanh Hoa, we need to look at other cities like Singapore, Bali (Indonesia), or Costa Rica in Central America with their urban garden models. He emphasized the pillars for developing a green city and a green destination: "We need to recognize that green development, in addition to green living, also includes green infrastructure, green energy, green finance, and green human resources."

Through this workshop, the organizers hope to receive many valuable contributions from experts and activists so that Khanh Hoa can soon achieve its goal of becoming a comprehensive green destination in the world.

From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on September 11th, the Green Experience Day will take place in the park area in front of the Muong Thanh Luxury Khanh Hoa Hotel (Con residential area, Nha Trang ward), open to all residents and tourists.
