Composer Nguyen Van Chung, who wrote the song "Following the Sacred Testament," shared: "When writing this song, I read President Ho Chi Minh's will in the exhibition area at the Ho Chi Minh City Radio Station (VOH). I found it very meaningful; a leader, upon his passing, only wished for the best for his homeland and people, without thinking of himself or his family, needing nothing except the happiness of the people and the dream of a prosperous and thriving nation."
Composer Nguyen Van Chung
It takes a person with a great heart to write such a heartfelt testament. The 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City is an extremely important event for the city named after President Ho Chi Minh, a tremendous honor for the people who live and work here, a modern, thriving city that is still full of compassion and kindness.
As a citizen of Ho Chi Minh City and a musician, I sincerely hope to make meaningful contributions through songs that spread the values derived from President Ho Chi Minh's teachings."
