Also attending was Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

During the meeting, the two sides discussed protecting intellectual property in the digital environment and raising awareness about cybersecurity.
Thanking the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the warm welcome extended to the delegation, Mr. Armand Jr. Gacho stated that since the Covid-19 pandemic, the application of technology in various aspects of life has been accelerated in many countries, including Vietnam.
According to an Adobe representative, Adobe has been working with many Vietnamese partners to ensure copyright enforcement in the digital environment. Despite the efforts of Vietnamese law enforcement agencies, copyright infringement of technology applications remains complex due to its cross-border nature.

Taking Adobe software as an example, Mr. Armand Jr. Gacho stated that some of the company's software is being sold on e-commerce platforms operating in Vietnam. However, this software is not supplied from official sources. Therefore, it poses many risks to cybersecurity as well as serious copyright violations.
Therefore, Mr. Armand Jr. Gacho affirmed that Adobe wishes to strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese authorities, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to prevent this issue. Not only with the company's software, Adobe is ready to cooperate and provide advice to help Vietnam improve its capacity to protect and exploit copyrights.

Expressing sincere gratitude for Adobe's sharing and contributions, Director of the Copyright Office Tran Hoang stated that many Adobe software programs are widely used in Vietnam. These software programs have made practical contributions to content creation and have helped develop Vietnam's cultural industries.
Director Tran Hoang affirmed that the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have issued numerous directives on strengthening copyright protection activities in accordance with the law and international treaties to which Vietnam is a party. Currently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is actively coordinating with relevant agencies to prevent copyright infringement.
Mr. Tran Hoang also emphasized that Vietnam considers the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights as one of the "keys" in the development of the cultural industry. Strictly implementing legal regulations on intellectual property aims to create harmonious benefits for all parties involved, including consumers themselves.

Currently, Vietnam is implementing a comprehensive set of solutions, including further improving legal regulations on intellectual property; raising awareness about intellectual property, copyright, and related rights through public campaigns. Law enforcement agencies are working closely together to continue addressing copyright infringements.
To make this work more effective, Director Tran Hoang hopes that Adobe and its partners will cooperate with Vietnam in sharing information and developing solutions to increase the reach of official products to consumers. In addition, Adobe could collaborate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other relevant agencies to raise awareness about protecting and respecting copyright.
